Peace has its victories,
but it takes brave men and women to win them.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
My son-in-law is a veteran of two wars ...
One was fought in Iraq.
The other in Afghanistan.
He lived like this for ME.
If you're an American, he did it for you, too.
A cot ... in a tiny tent ... with no privacy
He enlisted ...
served my country and protected my freedoms.
He got out of the military ...
earned a college degree ...
and returned - as an officer - to the United States Army.
He'll report soon for even more extensive training ...
doing the job so the rest of us don't have to.
I couldn't be more proud of him.

With my most heartfelt gratitude, thank you ...
To the brave men and women of all wars ... our Veterans
&
To the families of Veterans ... your great sacrifice
does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
I wish each of you a

Dear Susan
ReplyDeleteA very relevant post for today "Armistace Day", you have a lot to be proud of and thankful for.
I fully intended doing a similar post and may still - but a dear friend popped in today so that was the end of my blogging today!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and also for being so gracious and leaving me a lovely comment.
I hope we will become friends in this wonderful world of blogging.
Take care

Shane
